Head Teacher’s Welcome

My name is Danielle Fitzsimons and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Coniston Church of England Primary School. I started working here in September 2019 and feel very fortunate to lead a committed staff team and teach very endearing children. We hope that our love for one another is felt as soon as you step inside our school.

Our school is a thriving school in the village of Coniston, situated within the magnificent surroundings of the Lake District National Park. We are incredibly fortunate to have such vast and beautiful grounds to play sports on, and to enable us to enrich our curriculum, whilst not forgetting to take the time to appreciate the world which God has created for us.

We are happy to be part of The Fells Federation working closely with John Ruskin School, sharing one governing body, whilst not losing sight of each school’s identity.

Our school is supported by a strong team of people: an active parent group (H S A – the Home School Association), a supportive diocese, governors, parents and the local community. Together we learn about each other and from one another with faith and love at the core of all we do. We have strong links with St Andrew’s Parish Church in Coniston and enjoy spending time with our Vicar, Brian, Youth Worker, Chris and other members of the clergy.

Children from our School Council alongside myself would be happy to show you around so please do get in touch to arrange a visit and to find out more about us.
